I like pork wellington, but beef wellington is way better. The shape looks funny though.

Gingerbread house village





Trees were made by Wendy
Although I couldn't help to build the village because I had to help baker from David Thompson build her gingerbread house for professional league, the village looks nice.

shortbread tasted good but soon got nausea as it reminded me of a finger.

Rice Pilaf


The result turned out to be really salty rice pilaf by adding a tablespoon of salt along with pre-made chicken broth.

Plum flan


INGREDIENTS:                              EQUIPMENT:

175ml gradulated sugar
50ml soft margarine or butter
2eggs
250ml all purpose flour
5ml baking powder
5ml grated orange or lemon rind
50ml low fat milk
500ml halved pitted plums
125ml packed brown sugar
5ml cinnamon

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



METHOD:
1) In large bowl and using electric mixer, cream gradulated sugar and margarine. Beat eggs one at a time, beat well
2) Combine flour, baking powder and orange rind; beat into egg mixture alternately with milk, making three additions of flour and two of milk
3) Turn into 10inch (3L) spring form pan. Arrange plums, cut side down, in circles on top, lightly push into batter
4) Combine brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over plums, bake in 350F over for 45 to 55minutes or until top is golden and toothpick inserted into flan comes out clean.  (Makes 10 servings)
